Terry Charnas

Terry Charnas is a lifelong photographer, traveler, and retired M.D. Terry’s journey began with photographing coral reefs on the Cayman Islands while in college. He immediately became addicted to underwater photography with its vibrant colors and variety of creatures. Over the years, he has also concentrated on landscapes and the Milky Way. His debut publication, Light & Time: A Photographer’s Journey, represents 35 years of experience, and a journey of healing.

He finds it remarkable that I have been able to accomplish so much despite my mental health struggles. Therapeutic photography has helped him manage severe depression. When words are difficult, photos offer an alternative medium to express emotions. He hopes you enjoy his work and find encouragement for your own journey, wherever you are.
